So very proud of this program with Susan Robb, Kaia Sand, and Rex Hohlbein! Also being distributed through Seattle Channel.
I’m in the final stages of confirming details, but I’ll be screening a video poem designed by Michael Barakat on June 14 at Chophouse Row in this space.
This Spring, I’ve been curating programming for Town Hall Seattle, as one of four Inside / Out residents organizing programs around Seattle.
On March 22, I hosted poet and Zen teacher Peter Levitt at the Phinney Neighborhood Association.
Then in April, I hosted novelist Kathleen Alcala and writer Donna Miscolta.
Coming up on May 29, I’ll be hosting Kaia Sand, Susan Robb and Rex Hohlbein for a conversation on the convergence of arts and activism.
It was an honor to show work in the same program as Troy Osaki, Sierra Nelson, Rachel Kessler, and other poet practitioners..
My video poem “heyday” will be screened at the upcoming Cadence Video Poetry Festival at Northwest Film Forum on April 26th. Gretchen Burger and I will also teach a video poetry workshop on April 7 and April 14 for NWFF.
Speaking on poetry and the visual arts at NAEA in a couple of weeks.
I’m performing in this cabaret next week – new commissioned poem on Pat Suzuki.
I’m reading at Elliott Bay on Saturday with Prageeta Sharma and Tina Schumann.
Thanks to Seattle Review of Books for the shout-out!
I’m deeply excited to have signed a contract with Entre Rios Books for a new collection of work that will include poems, public art projects, past book arts projects, interpretive essays and other works. Grateful to be publishing with a Seattle-based publisher and working with local partners to bring this project to fruition. Thanks also to Seattle’s Office of Arts & Culture for an unexpected grant to support finishing this book.
